Anne Leak

Bio:

Dr. Anne Leak is an evaluator and STEM education researcher with the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships at UC Santa Barbara. Anne specializes in developing and implementing education research plans and working with faculty to develop learning assessments. Her research includes investigating entry and success for students transitioning to STEM careers and improving access and equity in science learning. She has been a Fulbright fellow exploring science and mathematics education in Cameroon, West Africa and has been awarded grants to develop approaches for community-driven and place-based science pedagogy in Kenya. She has also worked as a researcher and evaluator on national efforts to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship experiences into curriculum for physics majors in partnership with the American Physical Society and to conduct workforce development studies in optics, photonics, and quantum science and technology.
