Project Description: The internship included building a large-scale text summarization system according to user interest using state-of-the-art Natural language processing (NLP) models.

Relevance to Research: “The intern work benefits my future Ph.D. research towards NLP for scientific text mining, for example, I can build some text summarization system for the related work generation or scholarly paper summarization. Since scientific publications keep increasing, how to efficiently summarize crucial information for materials science is essential.” -Yang
