Bio

Dibyata earned her PhD in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, India. She completed her M.S. in Physics at the University of Hyderabad (UOH), India. Her graduate research centered on the synthesis and characterization of low-dimensional nickelates stabilized on various lattice geometries. Currently, she is a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), working with Prof. Stephen Wilson. Her research at UCSB focuses on the synthesis of novel single crystalline materials, their low-temperature characterization, and conducting neutron and x-ray scattering experiments.
