Biography

Esat received his Ph.D. degree from CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics, at the University of Central Florida studying photon statistics in disordered lattices under the supervision of Bahaa Saleh. As a postdoc, he worked on space-time wave packets and coherency imaging among other topics before switching to AMO physics. At Purdue University, Esat studied ultracold quantum chemistry with Rubidium Bose-Einstein condensates. Currently, he is studying Bose-Einstein condensates of Lithium and Strontium atoms in optical lattices in Prof. David Weld's lab in the Department of Physics at UCSB.
