Biography:
I grew up in Le Mars, Iowa and went to undergraduate at Washington University in St. Louis. In my work as a graduate student in Dr. Ania Jayich’s lab, I enjoy using my mechanical engineering and machining experience to produce apparatus and customize our experiment. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, film photography, and electronics projects.

Research Teaser:
I work as a part of the nitrogen vacancy center low temperature scanning probe magnetometry (NV LTSPM) subgroup in Dr. Jayich’s lab. Our experiment consists of a NV center magnetic field probe mounted into a custom AFM. My specific project is to use NV centers for noise spectroscopy measurements of magnetic insulators and other novel materials.
