Rahul Chawlani

 Bio:

Rahul earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Caltech. There, he worked with Professor Alireza Marandi, researching ultrafast nonlinear integrated photonics on thin-film lithium niobate. He is now pursuing his MS/PhD in ECE at UCSB, where he is advised by Professor Daniel Blumenthal. His research interests focus on low noise, stabilized lasers in silicon nitride photonics for applications such as quantum computing, optical clocks, and communications. In his free time, Rahul enjoys swimming, running, and playing the piano.
