Sunghoon Kim
UC Santa Barbara
Bio: Sunghoon, originally from Seoul, South Korea, earned his BS in Physics from Seoul National University. In 2019, he began his MS in Physics at Seoul National University, where he developed experimental and theoretical tools to quantify tip-to-sample interaction forces in dynamic mode atomic force microscopy with sub-pN resolution. In 2021, he began his PhD in Physics with Ania Jayich at UCSB. Currently, he is working in quantum imaging using nitrogen-vacancy center-based scanning probe microscopy to discover new physics in a variety of condensed matter systems.
