Viraj Dharod
Viraj Dharod is a second-year graduate student in Prof. Ania Jayich’s research group at UCSB. His research is focused on studying and understanding the physics of defect centers embedded in diamond nano opto-mechanical resonator devices that can potentially be used as quantum bits in different quantum technologies. He aims to smartly engineer experiments that can demonstrate the vast applicability of these technologies in the fields of quantum information, quantum communication, and quantum computation. He is passionate about physics research and engineering and the huge role they play in revolutionizing technology.
