Aaron Schwan

Biography:

I managed a mechanical engineering and physics major from CU Boulder in 2023, which gave me the lucky foundation to start work in Professor Ania Jayich's lab. My dual degrees have given me an excellent basis for beginning work on a modified setup for a low-temperature scanning probe magnetometry (LTSPM) experiment that utilizes Nitrogen-vacancy centers. The design challenges combined with condensed matter physics have led to an enjoyable challenge, making use of both my love of physics and engineering. Apart from work, I love to hike and lead climb as well as catch up on sleep.
