Sean Doan

Bio: 

Sean is from Irvine, California, and received his B.S. in Applied Physics at the University of California, Irvine in 2023. During his undergrad, Sean worked on characterizing the excitonic and phononic properties of 2D TMD moiré superlattices and heterostructures and the fabrication of 2D quantum emitters. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics in the Quantum Photonics Lab, focusing on the development of quantum communication and networking nodes based on III-V semiconductor quantum dots and color centers in 2D materials. During his free time, Sean enjoys swimming, hiking, and gaming.
