Quantum Industry Showcase 2026

The Quantum Foundry, in partnership with the UCSB Photonics Society, held the sixth annual Quantum Industry Showcase (QIS) on April 16, 2026. The QIS represents a cornerstone event for the Foundry’s engagement with a broad range of industry partners and serves as an opportunity for students to learn about research advances and career pathways in the private sector and connect and network with folks working in the quantum information industry.

This year’s event was bigger than ever, with 131 participants from UCSB and industry, and with 28 companies represented. The one-day event – sponsored in part by Oxford Instruments, Nexus Photonics, and HRL – included a networking lunch, a student poster competition, company tabling, technical and career panels with company representatives, as well as a keynote from John Martinis from QoLab and presentations from Qudara, Infleqtion, Google, and Quantopticon.
