New Mexico State University, in partnership with NSF Quantum Foundry at the University of California, Santa Barbara awarded $1 million to develop a new partnership by the National Science Foundation.
Quantum Foundry faculty members Chenhao Jin and Vojtech Vlcek receive the Sloan Research Fellowships. Thus highlighting the importance of research in the multiple disciplines that are a key part of our Quantum Foundry Thrusts.
"UC Santa Barbara physics professor Andrea Young believes the answer lies in a more robust, but still hypothetical “topological” approach to quantum computing, theorized over two decades ago. But this strategy comes with its own challenges."
